Dallas Opera

Dallas Opera is known as an international hub for opera in the south/southwest and holds true in the 2011-2012 season. The season, titled “Tragic Obsessions,” offers an exceptional mix of operas you have come to love and others that you will learn to love.  Dallas Opera began with their inaugural concert in 1957 with the great, Maria Callas. Since then the company has become a rite of passage for international artists here in the States, giving artists like Sutherland, Domingo and more, their American debuts.
