Why stay connected?

Giving opera a voice is incredibly important in today’s world where everyone has a heightened sense of connectivity due to technology. Everyday we see a special Cause rise to the attention of others just because a few people rally behind it. Why not rally behind opera? In our experience opera lovers have very few places to congregate when times get tough. Sure, OperaPulse is one of several organizations that promote opera but we are of a select few that are not bias towards a specific organization. We gear our message and news in ways that are relevant to today, so more people can learn to love opera.

We stand upon this principle: Not everyone will like opera, however we will not survive as a mutually inclusive community. Promote the beauty of the art form – the natural human voice and collaborative power of opera – and opera will flourish for years to come.

How can you stay connected?

Join the thousands of Opera Lovers on OperaPulse’s Facebook page! Check out the popular “Thursday Night Throw-down,” share or promote a performance, receive a dose of daily news in opera, or just be a part of the conversation. Together we can promote opera.

Why Twitter? Many people do not understand the value found in using Twitter. If you connect with OperaPulse on Twitter you will find a group of Opera Lovers in a more intimate, cyber conversation. Follow us as we tweet during an intermission of a performance, promoting a special deal for your favorite opera company, or having a conversation about our favorite art form.

Today is October 21. I just checked out the calendar for NYC opera and I got a May schedule [I presume it is for May 2010]. But now it is October. So what is happening in October?
